Another great day in 5th grade. We reviewed some of our procedures that we learned yesterday, and they got them all! We began our first writing assignment on strengths and weaknesses. This isn't homework. We will be working our way through it the next couple of days. All paragraphs, at this point in our writing process, need to have 5 sentences in them. We will be getting our first vocabulary words tomorrow!

First day of school
Wow...TODAY really flew by. It was great to get to meet all of the new shinning faces! They were a little overwhelmed with rules and procedures today. I have guaranteed them all that it will be better AND easier.
No homework tonight. I didn't even give them reading logs. I think we'll wait until Monday to start those.
Please give me a call if you have any questions after these first few days!
