I forgot to remind the kids to bring in their coin sheets today! :(  I'd say every minute was filled to the brim.  I apologize for that!  If you read this, tell the kids to pass it on to their buddies. Hopefully we can get back on schedule next week with no interruptions from weather and early outs.

Our plan is to have the spelling test next Tuesday and the vocabulary test on Thursday. The new words have been posted on the wiki.

The kids brought a note home today about pencils.  I think they must be eating them.....HA!  We have gone threw hundreds of pens and pencils in this room throughout the year.  If you have any extras you could part with, please send them to school.  Don't go spend money and buy anything, but if there are some laying around that you don't need, we'd really appreciate them.

They also brought a conferences note home.  Conferences are in 2 weeks.  As we did last time, they are not scheduled for 5th graders.  If you'd like to come next week and avoid the crowds, I have several times available. Just send me a call or an email kendra.haugen@bkcsd.org  and we'll set something up.  If not...see you in two weeks!
* Before school 7:00-7:45
*12-12:30
* After school 3:15-4:00

Tomorrow during the last period of the day we will be having fun study hall in my room.  Any students who have late work will have to go to Ms. Bram's room to finish it.  Grades are due next week and we need to get that work in ASAP!

Homework: Density worksheet

African speaker

Today we got to hear a speaker who has been on a couple of trips to Africa.  Her name was Val Anderson, from Garner. She was terrific.  I think we could have listened to her speak all day.  You could tell she really enjoyed her trips.  She had beautiful pictures and artifacts.  After speaking she took questions from the kids as well!  What a great event!
