5-30-13

What a fun day! It wasn't as good as a trip to the fossil park, but it was good!  The kids had a great time doing experiments this morning.  I was so impressed with their focus.  They were working so hard at making the experiments work out.  They cleaned up their own messes as well.  What a great group of kids.

We finished reading Bridge to Terabithia, so tomorrow afternoon we will be watching the movie.

In the morning, weather permitting, we will be walking to the pool park as a reward for raising the most money for the Relay for Life fundraiser.  Ms. Bram's homeroom will also be going to Bloemke's for an ice cream treat due to their box tops win!

Remember, Monday we need a sack lunch again.  Also, send a sack or extra book bag to hall home the locker MESSES!

Well....change of plans.  The field trip for tomorrow is cancelled :(  There is must too much water there and too big of a chance for rain.

A note went home with the kids today about what we are doing instead, but just in case someone forgot theirs......

Please still bring your sack lunch, because the cooks don't have us in their count for tomorrow.

We will be doing experiments in my room in the morning.

Feel free to bring a board game for the afternoon.  Put your name on it in case people bring more than one of the same game.

What's up for the rest of the year?!

Things to note for the rest of the year…..
·       Thursday is track and field day.  Please send a water bottle for the kids.  As far as I know, there will not be a concession stand this year.  The drinking fountain is also not working.  I would suggest putting sunscreen on your child as well. We will be out on the track from 9-11 and then we will be watching portions of the little kids track in the afternoon.
·       No school Monday for Memorial Day
·       Thursday, May 30, field trip to Rockford Fossil Park.  Please dress appropriately for digging in the dirt.  I would suggest sunscreen for this day as well. Students will be responsible for bringing their own lunch and 50 cents this day.
·       June 3 is the last day of school.  Students need to bring an extra bag to bring all of their things home.  They also need to bring their own lunch that day.  We will be eating outside, weather permitting. This is a full day of school, not an early out!
