STEM challenges in Science
For the last 2 weeks we have been discussing Renewable and Nonrenewable resources. We learned about fossil fuels, and the energy that we get from them. We also learned that fossil fuels are a nonrenewable resource, therefore we have to learn to use alternative energy sources. We then completed two STEM challenges using wind as our energy source. We created Lego cars that were run by wind power, and windmills that could lift a cup full of "something"! Students learn so many things when completing these challenges. They learn science content, but also how to work with others, and how to problem solve!
PBIS carnival
Those students who met their behavior contract goals in the third quarter were treated to a carnival put on by several community businesses and groups, on Friday!
