• KCCI: new date for the airing of our performance...THursday night at 5:00

No homework tonight! What an exciting morning. KCCI came to school for the Read to me program. Marcus McIntosh came and read to the Kindergarten through 6th grade. The school was presented a check from EMC insurance company for $500. We then preformed the "Gotta Keep Reading" dance. The news crew taped the entire thing and we will be on KCCI later this week. REALLY exciting!

Homework for tonight:

Some kids 22/55 didn't do their quotation homework for today. Due to that little issue :) They have this to do tonight. I told the kids that if it wasn't done tomorrow...recess inside!

Happy St. Patrick's Day...wearing your green?

Sorry that there have been no posts the last couple of days. I had some issues with my computer, but I'm back in full force today!

Reading: We have been working on propaganda this week during reading. We will continue with this for a couple more days. We are tying this to our unit on Pioneers. The kids will be making propaganda to try and convince people to "move west".
No assignment today for reading.

Vocabulary: Our new vocabulary words are now posted on the wiki. The test will be next week on Thursday. Assignment today: blue book pages 32-33

Spelling: New words are on the wiki. This week's words aren't so much spelling words as correct usage words! Test will be next Wednesday. Worksheet assignment today.

Grammar: Comma unit... comma drama cut and paste assignment.

Writing: Persuasive unit is coming to a close. Make sure final drafts are in by tomorrow.
