Today was a big test day for our kiddos.  They took the MAP language test, and a figurative language test, AND a vocab test.  WOW!  Tomorrow they will take the MAP reading test, and a spelling test.  Just remind them to do their best.  It is very hard to keep concentrating at this time of year.

Don't forget the field trip is tomorrow!  You will need a lunch.  It is OK to bring your device, but know it has to stay on the bus!  You can bring money for the gift shop, but you'll only have 10 minutes in there, so don't bring much!

5-9-16 and AEA online resources

Our last visit with the librarian was today.  All books are due on Monday. Please be checking for our classroom library books as well. We went over some really neat resources on the AEA website.http://www.iowaaeaonline.org/  There were some terrific sites for summer reading.  If you have access to the internet, and want a book that reads to you, check out  http://auth.grolier.com/login/tfx/login.php?bffs=N . The other place we explored was Mackinvia.  https://www.mackinvia.com/ . Each student has a backpack created, so that they can check out ebooks with their electronic devices. These books are free!

What a great concert tonight.  The kids look so sweet all dressed up!  Homework for tonight...finish the little bits of a worksheet that we worked on in class.  Most kiddos got it done already, but a few had a couple of questions left. I will be out of the district on Friday, so contact Ms. Bram or Valley if you need to get a message to the kids.

The only homework for tonight is to READ.  Remember, tomorrow is an early out, and Thursday night is the concert.  Start studying for the figurative language test.  It's looking like it will be on Monday, but I'll let you know for sure in a couple of days.
