Only one more day left....
What a beautiful day! The kids got to go to a reward carnival during their specials today. Pictures coming soon... Then this afternoon we played the annual 5th grade kickball game. Tomorrow we will be watching our reward movie for winning pennies for patients. Kids that brought a snack today...they are in the fridge waiting for tomorrow. All students need a sack lunch for tomorrow!

Please remember that our plan for tomorrow is a movie, and kickball tournament on Friday. BUT, if the weather stays like it is scheduled to, we'll switch those days and do the kickball tomorrow. I told the kids to bring their snack for the movie, and their old shoes for muddy kickball, and we'll just play it by ear!

Watching the weather....
We are planning on having our picnic and kickball tournament on Friday afternoon. As the week goes on, we will be watching the weather. If it looks like Thursday will be a nicer day, we may switch the kickball to Thursday. If we do that, our reward movie, for winning Pennies for Patients, will be moved to Friday. Plan on sending a snack for Thursday's movie, on Thursday. If we have to move the movie...we'll store the snacks until Friday. Confused yet....us too! Sure do wish it wasn't supposed to rain nearly all week. Oh well, we'll make it work!

Thanks Miss Paige
We had an incredible job shadow student working in our room this past semester. Paige came every day from 11:30-1:30 to work with the 5th graders. The kids truly adored her, and were sad that today was her last day. We'd like to wish her luck next year, as she heads off to college to learn to become a teacher, and get a classroom of her own!

Don't forget the track meet tomorrow! Big kids from 9-11:30. Wear/bring sunscreen! Remember the concession stand will be open too.

Spelling words came out today as well. The pretest is tomorrow, and the test will be on Tuesday.
Lots of kids have their names on the board right now because they are behind in RC quizzes. Number 16 was due yesterday. This is a part of their grade. They need to remember to keep reading each night!
Track and field day is Thursday. Our meet is in the morning, and we will be watching the little kids in the afternoon. The kids can not have concessions until after they have run all of their events. They can also buy treats in the afternoon, if they'd like to bring a couple of dollars.

Friday, the last day of school, the kids need to bring a sack lunch. We will be having a working morning, and the afternoon will be spent eating our lunch, and playing a kickball tournament with the whole 5th grade.

Things to note:
Monday will be our spelling test from last week. We ran out of time on Friday, due to the MAP test!
Tuesday-EMS will be visiting our classroom due to this week being EMS week.
Thursday- Track and Field
Elementary Track Meet information
On Thursday, we will hold our elementary track meet.
3rd-6th grade students will run in the morning from 9-11:30.

There is a concession stand available. Students can purchase items AFTER they have run all of their events. We will also be watching the afternoon session, so the kids can buy items then as well.
