April 21,22,23:  MAP testing each afternoon

24th: Career Day 
Our 5th and 6th graders will get to be a part of Career Day this year!  Counselor Johnson has lined up some really cool speakers to Skype with us about their jobs!

Here is a breakdown of what the day will look like:

9:45 – students will head over to the high school. I will be there to let you in the North doors by the auditorium.

10:00 – Speaker #1 – Tyler Owen – Video Game Designer

11:15 – Speaker #2  - TBD

12:00 – Speaker #3 (Skype) – Jessie Dirks – Physical Therapist

**Students break for lunch/recess/study hall** If you want to take the students out to recess, you may, but there will not be any associates available at this time – you will need to supervise.

2:00 – Speaker #4 (Skype) – Scott Wenger – Electrical Integration Engineer with NASA

2:30 – Speaker #5 – Alyssa Lahr (Skype) – Technical Designer with Chico’s FAS (fashion design)

Students will dismiss back to elementary in time for regular dismissal time.

April 29:  Exercising your Character Field trip to Des Moines

May 8 and 11: Fishing field trip to Lake Cornelia

May 27: Last day of school picnic
