At the beginning of the semester I challenged all of the 5^th and 6^th grade classes to a reward for having the least amount of negative dojos(no PE clothes, coming late to class, and locker room behaviors).  Well, the totals have been calculated through the DoJo reports.  Mrs. Haugen’s class wins with only 3 negatives! It was a close one with 5-Valley and 6-Deutsch only behind them by two.  Keep up the good work everyone!

 Students learned a new part of speech today by eating. We did adjective eating.  Each food was described by looks, tastes, smells, sounds.... I think they'll remember what adjectives are!

Ryan Sloth came today to talk about his books, writing process, and his ties to Belmond.  The kids had a really good time participating in his presentation.

Kim Belstene reads from the "Lunch Lady" series

Mrs. Belstene came to read to our reading class, when she got done working in the lunch room today! Ms. Bram's homeroom were the lucky kids who got to hear her hilarious story.  There is a series of books in the Lunch Lady series.  If you are a reader in the 200-500 Lexile, they are also reading counts books!

Silly Sally Comes to Jacobson

Silly Sally came to visit our kids today.   She talked about the importance of NOT being a bully, but instead, being a good friend.
