Pictures from Entrepreneur for a day!

Entrepreneur for a day is a program at NIACC that teaches the kids many real world skills.  The biggest of which is problem solving.  Students need to try and run a business making playdough products.  They are not able to chose their partners, and are not allowed to go to the teachers to fix their business problems.  They have to work through their issues together.  They work on financial literacy skills, marketing, and creative skills.  It's not only a field trip, but a huge learning experience!

Science assembly today

Our Jacobson Elementary students had the pleasure of viewing the Great Hagerman deliver his Extreme Science show on April 24th. He used in-line skates to teach the laws of motion.  Using a giant bungee cord slingshot, he taught the kids potential and kinetic energy.  Hagerman oozed slime and caused water to vanish.  He used electricity to create a shocking experience! What a great, educational experience for all!
