Happy New Year

It is great to be back. OK, not great to wake up early and have to put on dress clothes, but great to see the kids and get back into a routine. The kids are a mix today. Some look so sleepy and others look like they are so excited they can hardly stand it. New year= some new routines and activities for us. We will be doing a daily language activity and a daily comprehension activity for the next couple of months. We will still have our same schedule for spelling and vocabulary words. 5 days after the words have been introduced we will test over them. We will get new spelling words today and vocabulary tomorrow. That means that our spelling test will be next Monday and our vocabulary test next Tuesday. Check the wiki today for the words.

Homework tonight: Read 20 minutes
Kids who haven't passed 7 quizzes will be bringing home a reading log.

Our writing this week will take place during class time, so no weekly writing assignment this week.
