Important note coming home today!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Our 5th Grade Class will be taking a field trip to NIACC, for Entrepreneur for a Day, in Mason City on Monday, April 18th.  The Entrepreneur for a Day (E4D®) program is dedicated to teaching 5th grade students the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship and how to start a business. Students learn the distinct differences between becoming an entrepreneur and being an employee. One of the goals of the program is to get kids thinking about being a job creator versus a job taker. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING A SACK LUNCH.

We are looking forward to a great day!!!

On Thurs., April 14th, your 5th grader will be attending Exercising Your Character in Des Moines.  Students will be leaving at 8:15 a.m. and will return by 2:45 p.m.
Hy-Vee has sponsored Exercising Your Character since 2007 in cooperation with Character Counts in Iowa, a national organization that promotes civility through character development at all stages in life.  During the event, students will be led by dancers through several fun, upbeat songs that get kids up and moving to complete 30 minutes of aerobic activity!  Students will also hear speakers talk about how to promote good character in everyday life.

Lunch will be provided to all students as they return to their buses.  Students will also receive a
t-shirt prior to the event for participating in the day.

If you have any questions about the Exercising Your Character field trip, please contact Mrs. Kern.
