GREAT field trip!!

April 13th, 5th grade students from Jacobson Elementary attended the annual Exercising your Character event in Des Moines. This event is for 5th graders all over the state of Iowa.There were over 7,000 students in attendance this year. This event is coordinated by HyVee. Hyvee also gives each student a t-shirt, lunch, and pays a bus stipend! This event ties the importance of exercise with having good character. Famous athletes come and speak to the students. This year the speakers were Laurie Hernandez, Elena Delle Donne, and Adam Thielen.
