2. dictator - a ruler who has complete power over a country.
3. notorious - well-known for something bad.
4. rugged - having a rough and uneven surface.
5. sombreros - tall hats with a wide brim, worn in Mexico and the American
Southwest.
6. transformed - something that is changed greatly in appearance or form.
7. urgently - in a way that calls for immediate action.
8. wounds - injuries in which the skin is cut or broken.
9. detain - to delay or impede.
10. plaza - a public square or similar open area in a town or city is known as a plaza.
11. mocking - to make fun of, often by imitating or depicting in an insulting way.
12. revolution - a sudden political overthrow from within a given system.

There will be no test this week for either spelling or vocabulary.  This week is too short with our field trip and no school Friday.  The spelling test will be April 21 and vocabulary will be April 22.
