I appologize for the late posting for Friday, but I've had an awful sinus infection which took me out of school on Friday. After lots of rest and antibiotics, I finally feel human again!

Reading response: This weekend's response dealt with having the students read aloud to someone. This is a skill that is sometimes overlooked in the upper grades. Oral reading fluency is an important part of school and needs to be practiced as well as silent reading.

Techonolgy: We spent a couple of days in the lab this week. One day we finished typing our newspaper articles. We will spend a day or two this week comparing what we have in our articles to what we find in "professional" articles. We also looked at some really fun and educational game sites, which are posted on the wiki. Ask the kids to show you.

Spelling and vocabulary words are being posted tonight on the web, the kids got them on Thurs. and Friday of last week, but we haven't had time to work with them yet, so tests will be late this week, early next.
